As one of the largest and most comprehensive ecological functional zones in northern China, most of Inner Mongolia is an arid or semi-arid region with fragile ecosystems and environmental problems such as climate change, desertification and loss of biodiversity, which affect and restrict the sustainable ecological and economic development of Inner Mongolia. To this end, since 2010, Lao Niu Foundation, together with the Nature Conservancy (TNC), China Green Carbon Foundation, Inner Mongolia Forestry and Grassland Administration and other partners, has carried out an ecological protection and restoration project in Inner Mongolia aimed at maintaining the function of the northern ecological barrier. Ten years is just the beginning of a long ecological process. We still need to forge ahead.
